POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Supply Planning is responsible for developing and executing demand and supply planning strategies for TTS North America to ensure optimal inventory levels, customer service, and alignment with corporate goals. This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Operations, Finance and Global Supply Chain partners, ensuring demand forecasts are translated into accurate supply plans. The Director will collaborate closely with the German HQ to align regional planning needs with global production and logistics capabilities. This individual leads supply planning efforts for the North America organization, overseeing forecasting, S&OP processes, safety stock management, and planning system improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
· Owns the monthly demand planning process and leads S&OP meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment on forecast accuracy and supply execution.
· Develops supply plans based on forecast inputs, inventory targets, lead times, and production constraints.
· Monitors and refines planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turns.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
· Partners with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to incorporate promotional activity, market intelligence, and new product introductions into demand forecasts.
· Works closely with global counterparts to communicate demand needs and manage production planning and inventory replenishment.
· Ensures transparent and timely communication of planning issues and risks with both North America and global teams.
Inventory & Supply Optimization
· Maintains appropriate safety stock levels to meet service levels without overstocking.
· Identifies and executes initiatives to reduce slow-moving or excess inventory.
Systems & Process Improvements
· Manages supply planning tools and ERP systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
· Supports system implementations or upgrades, providing input from a planning perspective.
· Promotes continuous improvement using data analysis and industry best practices.
People Development & Culture
· Develops and coaches the Supply Planning Analyst to support team performance and growth.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Requirements: · Basic Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field. · 7+ years of progressive experience in supply/demand planning or related supply chain functions. · 2+ years of leadership experience with direct reports. · Experience working with international teams and time zones. · Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, SAP BI, Excel, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: · Master’s degree or MBA. · APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. · Experience in a mid-sized manufacturing/distribution environment. · Familiarity with S&OP best practices and KPI dashboards. · Knowledge of lean supply chain practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
