POSITION SUMMARY
:

The Regional Sales Manager meets and exceeds sales objectives of assigned territory by promoting and selling tools, accessories & consumables through professional sales techniques, product service, and long-term customer relationships. RSM’s are responsible for selling the Festool System as well as developing a dealer and distribution network within their assigned territory.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Achieves or exceeds sales targets through selling products into the dealer network and on behalf of dealers to end customers
  2. Uses sales skills to influence dealer personnel to support Festool initiatives
  3. Targets A, B, & C accounts by present & potential revenue, cost to sell/service, and likelihood of success
  4. Allocates time and call frequency based on A, B, C account targeting
  5. Grows the dealer network by opening new accounts in territory where necessary
  6. Increases market share by advising dealers on the maintenance of proper stocking levels, based on their specific business plan, in order to keep dealers focused and growing
  7. Expands the selection of dealer offerings in addition to dealer product knowledge
  8. Install and refresh retail displays walls for new and existing dealers when needed
  9. Provides exceptional customer service through immediate response to dealer and end customer requests, continuous dealer showroom set up/maintenance, participate and plan shows/demo days, constant updates with dealers on profitability/sales goals, being consistently thorough and knowledgeable about products as well as programs
  10. Sells all products with a particular emphasis on the focus products based strategic initiatives that are communicated to the sales team
  11. Regularly conducts in store dealer trainings (products and sales) and new product sell-in/introductions
  12. Conducts end user calls with dealer personnel when large or strategic opportunities exist
  13. Utilizes CRM system on a regular basis and ensures information is updated timely
  14. Attends and participates in sales meetings, annual training events and trade shows
  15. Supports dealer product sales through attendance of trade shows and dealer events
  16. Provides hands on product training on the Festool System
  17. Remain proficient in the use of the Festool system and the use of applications
  18. Provide weekly and annual reporting on the state of the assigned territory and goals
  19. Stay informed on current industry trends and apply information to sales opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Regular travel within an assigned territory required
  • 5 or more years of wholesale or B2B related sales experience required with Proven B2B and B2C product outside sales skills
  • Strong territory management system and approach
  • Must possess strong planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills
  • Ability to comfortably demonstrate power tools in a safe & effective manner
  • Ability to perform tool demonstrations including loading/unloading tools from car
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs safely
  • Experience using a CRM system
  • Ability to operate motor vehicle safely and in accordance with company’s auto policy Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must present a positive and professional appearance
  • Must possess strong influence and persuasion skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communications skills
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of customer focus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Bilingual a plus (English & Spanish)
