Hybrid role -  2 / 3 days in office + 2 / 3 days remote per week (must live within commutable distance from Lebanon, IN)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function/purpose of this job.

The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for assisting in building the Festool brand and contributing to our business results by deploying consumer-centric solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.  Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Associate Brand Manager has a broad range of responsibilities including brand plan development and execution, ongoing business analytics, creative and media campaigns, retail/channel management and budget management.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

This list should address at least 80 percent of the job’s content.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-term marketing objectives and strategies. Lead the development and execution of brand plans and tactics to deliver against agreed upon goals.
  2. Assist Marketing Director in the development of brand strategy, consumer segmentation, targeting and positioning of brand and consumer targets.
  3. Participate in the creative development process and execution of advertising campaigns across brand-building and new product launch campaigns.  
  4. Lead day-to-day brand budget management and ensure financial responsibility within budgetary parameters. Responsible for maintaining budgets and forecasts monthly.
  5. Lead brand business analysis. Continuously monitor business performance to ensure brand is tracking against goals. Responsible for using and understanding internal and external data resources to identify issues and opportunities to drive both brand development and sales performance.
  6. Assist Marketing Director in the development of all media plans and initiatives.
  7. Assist Marketing Director to develop and maintain in-store planograms & display guidelines.
  8. Manage marketing collateral inclusive of development, ordering process and inventory management across point-of-sale materials and branded merchandise. 
  9. Lead the development and execution of retailer programming, custom marketing & events.
  10. Maintain constant and concise communication of assigned marketing-related programming with internal and external partners.
  11. Prepare material for executive updates, internal and external sales, and retailer meetings, etc. as required.

Non-Essential Functions:

  1. Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree with relevant focus (Marketing, Business, Management, etc.) - MBA Strongly preferred

Years of Experience:

3+ years of work/intern experience in brand marketing or related field

Other Qualifications:

  • Professional maturity.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills
  • Strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience working with P&L's a plus
  • Demonstrated skill in building and leading strong cross-functional teams; exposure to managing agency partners
  • Exposure to the development of brand strategy – consumer segmentation, consumer targeting, brand positioning and brand architecture; exposure to the annual brand planning process.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated aptitude to utilize trend analysis, syndicated and customized research and other sources to turn data and information into actionable insights.
  • Exposure to or ability to develop creative briefs for use by agencies and internal support groups; Strong creativity skills with the ability to evaluate creative work in the context of brand strategy.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communications skills; proven track record for working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced team setting, and interact and influence credibly with different levels of management
  • Highly motivated, self-driven with a high sense of urgency to meet timelines and the ability to work without daily guidance
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English is required
  • Understanding of the tool industry/trades a plus, but not required
