POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Product Manager (North America) is responsible for leading the regional product management function for assigned Business Center(s), with both individual and managerial responsibilities. This role serves as the key liaison between Festool North America and the global product management team in Europe, ensuring that regional market needs, competitive dynamics, and customer insights are represented in global strategies. While the global team drives product development, the Senior Product Manager ensures products are successfully positioned, launched, and supported in the North American market. In addition, this role manages and develops a Product Manager, providing guidance, prioritization, and coaching to strengthen product management capabilities in the region. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for fostering a high-performing, collaborative product management function, emphasizing mentorship, professional development, and strong cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Operations. The Senior Product Manager will also oversee product roadmaps, lifecycle management, and go-to-market execution while playing a strategic role in shaping portfolio direction and influencing global product decisions. Some intermittent travel required (<15%).

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Act as the primary liaison between North America and the global product management team in Europe, ensuring regional market needs and customer insights are represented in global strategies.
  2. Responsible for assigned Business Center(s) and products under the assigned Business Center(s).
  3. Translate global product strategies into North American execution, including market positioning, product launches, and lifecycle management.
  4. Owns the North American product roadmap for assigned Business Center(s) in alignment with global development plans.
  5. Lead, coach, and develop the regional product management function, fostering strong collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  6. Conduct in-person customer interviews, workshops, and surveys to bring the “voice of the customer” into both regional execution and global R&D discussions.
  7. Plan and coordinate regional product campaigns and go-to-market activities.
  8. Analyze competitive products and strategies to provide recommendations for pricing, positioning, and differentiation in the North American market.
  9. Compile and coordinate product information across logistics, marketing, and sales to facilitate successful product launches.
  10. Provide structured feedback from product launches, user feedback, and market insights to both North American stakeholders and the global product team.
  11. Support Marketing, Sales Operations, and Sales teams on regional initiatives and special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field required. Equivalent experience in product management or category management considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, sales operations, or marketing, with at least 2+ years managing or mentoring other product managers or cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading product roadmaps, market launches, and lifecycle management across multiple products or portfolios.
  • Intermittent travel (<15%) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Direct experience managing a product management team or leading cross-functional initiatives at a regional or global level.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a clear focus on using data and numerical analysis to inform decision-making; advanced MS Excel and/or Power BI preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and global stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-cultural collaboration skills and experience working with global teams, especially across Europe and North America.
  • Experience developing team capability, building high-performance work groups, and setting clear priorities.
  • Demonstrated success balancing short-term tactical execution with long-term strategic portfolio planning.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across technical and commercial teams.
