Overview

The Repair Technician repairs and/or services Festool products in accordance with prescribed procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs timely disassembly and reassembly of company products for the purpose of problem resolution;
• Performs prescribed inspections, utilizes mechanical, electro-mechanical, as well as electronic troubleshooting methods as situation requires;
• Identifies worn and defective components;
• Keeps records of parts and time used and provides data for billing and/or warranty information;
• Recognizes and reports operational irregularities and defective materials;
• Sets-up and performs electrical and mechanical tests to ensure product's repair and/or work performed is in conformance with prescribed quality standards;
• Utilizes company ERP (SAP) system, CRM, Outlook, schematic drawings, and other electronic data resources daily;
• Performs other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent technical training;
• Minimum three years’ experience in a repair shop or field service environment is desirable;
• One or more years of similar job experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair is preferred;
• Must possess effective business communication skills;
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications;
• Experience using SAP a plus.
