POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function/purpose of this job.

Festool North America is seeking a social media manager to help lead the growth of our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn) and online community (Festool Owners Group, Blog). The role is a mix of strategy, execution, community engagement and analytics/data reporting, with the purpose of expanding and enhancing our brand presence with our online communities. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the social media manager will partner closely with multiple stakeholders to bring to life our key campaigns and enhance our brand personality and voice.  This person will have a proven track record driving social strategy, building an audience, and being on-top of the latest social trends.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

This list should address at least 80 percent of the job’s content.

Essential Functions:

  1. Craft, manage and implement social media strategies and calendar for both the US and Canadian markets.
  2. Being the first line of communication with our community – regularly engaging with our fans and responding to their comments and feedback in a timely fashion to build brand credibility.
  3. Partner with PR agency to deepen existing influencer relationships, and strategically expand influencer roster.
  4. Partner with media agency to coordinate paid media content calendar; understand paid media metrics and communicate results to internal teams.
  5. Own the analysis and reporting of social channel KPIs with a monthly report to internal teams.
  6. Create, maintain, and own our social media rulebook / style guide.
  7. Observe and report on social media trends within our industry and beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Education:

BA/BS in Sales, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism

Years of Experience:

3-5 years’ experience managing owned social media channels and community management. Agency background a plus.

Other Qualifications:

  • Passion for social media, engaging with online communities and content creation.
  • Experience with all major social media platforms and common social tools
  • Executive presence, with the ability to interact with and influence people across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English is required
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communications skills; proven track record for working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced team setting, and interact and influence credibly with different levels of management
  • Highly motivated, self-driven with a high sense of urgency to meet timelines and the ability to work without daily guidance
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and publishing tools
  • Understanding of Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the tool industry/trades a plus, but not required
