Overview

 

The Regional Sales Manager meets and exceeds sales objectives of assigned territory by promoting and selling tools, accessories and consumables through professional sales techniques, product service, and long term customer relationships.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Achieves or exceeds sales targets through selling product in to the dealer network and on behalf of dealers to end customers;

  • Targets A, B, and C accounts by present and potential revenue, cost to sell/service, and likelihood of success;

  • Allocates time and call frequency based on A, B, C account targeting;

  • Grows the dealer network by opening new accounts;

  • Increases market share by advising dealers on the maintenance of proper stocking levels, based on their specific business plan, in order to keep dealers focused and growing;

  • Expands the selection of dealer offerings in addition to dealer product knowledge;

  • Provides exceptional customer service through immediate response to dealer and end customer requests, continuous dealer showroom set up/maintenance, participation in shows/demo days, constant updates with dealers on profitability/sales goals, being consistently thorough and knowledgeable about products as well as programs;

  • Sells all products with particular focus on the core Tools along with corresponding accessories and consumables;

  • Conducts in store dealer trainings on a consistent basis;

  • Utilizes CRM system on a regular basis and ensures information is updated timely;
  • Attends and participates in sales meeting, product seminars, an annual week long training event, and trade shows;
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned.
 
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred;

  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience such as past wholesale sales or retail management preferred;

  • Proven B2B and B2C product outside sales skills;

  • Strong territory management system and approach;

  • Ability to demonstrate power tools safely;

  • Ability to operate motor vehicle safely;

  • Ability to perform tool demonstrations including loading/unloading tools from car;

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs safely;

  • Supports dealer product sales through attendance of trade shows and dealer events;

  • Hands on product training for tools on a quarterly basis;

  • Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office;

  • Must present a positive and professional appearance;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must;

  • Ability to stay informed on current industry trends and apply information to sales opportunities;

  • Ability to demonstrate high level of customer focus;

  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills;

  • Must possess strong influence and persuasion skills;

  • Must possess strong planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills;

  • Must demonstrate strong relationship management skills.
