Overview
 
The Production Manager plans, coordinates, organizes, and controls production lines for the manufacture of goods such as Guide rails (FS), the Multifunction table (MFT) and abrasives. This position also manages the supply chain with purchasing and quality control tasks.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
  • Implements the production lines for various products such as Guide rails (FS), Mutlifunction table (MFT) and abrasives;
  • Actively participates in the implementation of the SAP manufacturing module;
  • Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process;
  • Ensuring the effective management of production lines;
  • Ensuring maintenance of cost effective and high-standard production;
  • Monitoring production costs
  • Monitoring the production practices and setting the schedules as required;
  • Working out the material and human resources as needed;
  • Developing the operating unit’s layout, size and range of service or product to deliver and design and arrangement of work processes;
  • Selecting and maintaining equipments, supervising product standards and enforcing quality-control programs;
  • Determining the high quality standards and keeping control;
  • Managing continuous improvement projects in the area of logistics and production;
  • Assuring the quality of the procured parts as well as of the manufacturing processes;
  • Responsible for disposition of materials;
  • Actively provides support in finding new suppliers;
  • Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the international organization;
  • Keeping abreast of health and safety strategies;
  • Liaising with different departments to prevent any probable delay;
  • Supervising and inspiring team of workers and reviewing the work performance of subordinates;
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned.
     
     Job Requirements
     
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or process engineering preferred; Minimum of 7 years experience in a production environment with exposure to operations, process engineering, quality and maintenance roles can be substituted for education requirement;
  • Professional work experience in the areas of Production, Quality Assurance and Procurement;
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques;
  • Knowledge in LEAN Manufacturing preferred;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent planning, negotiation, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to motivate co-workers, colleagues and others;
  • Willingness for business travel;
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to speak German is a plus.
