Overview

 

The Production Associate receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within Festool’s distribution and production center. Additionally, this position works on an assembly line, puts together and inspects products and adheres to all safety guidelines and standards.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assists shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise;
  • Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped;
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas;
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code;
  • Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for internal customer traffic;
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area or shipping area;
  • Records amount of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate method;
  • Assists in the counting of physical inventory;
  • Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times;
  • Wears the proper safety equipment;
  • Assembles product parts by hand;
  • Observes and removes faulty product parts from assembly line;
  • Ensures that all products are built to the highest standard of quality;
  • Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency;
  • Maintains a constant visual on parts and supplies stored on the top floor;
  • Ensures that all products are built to the highest productivity and efficiency;
  • Perform other required tasks as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • At least three (3) months of warehousing experience preferred;
  • Ability to drive a forklift a plus;
  • Ability to use warehouse tools;
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly;
  • Must be mechanically inclined and good with hand tools;
  • Be able to learn how to prep and assemble units in the production area;
  • Demonstrates ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on production equipment;
  • Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions;
  • Must be able to read and understand directions;
  • Must present a positive and professional appearance;
  • Excellent customer service skills.
